Mont St Michel

Further away than our other preferred destinations, Mont-St Michel remains a must. Plan a full day to get there (about 2 hours drive). It's a real monster of French heritage, no need to introduce it to you. From the top of its rocky islet, the abbey overlooks a majestic and magnificent bay, the scene of the highest tides in Europe.

For the brave, crossings on foot of the bay are possible.

Mont-St-Michel is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
